Public Outreach Funding Clarification:

Due to a misunderstanding it had been announced that Public Outreach could not accept direct funding from groups. This is issue is under review and GRs and interested members will have an opportunity to participate in a workshop on the subject at the AWSC meeting on May 5, 2012. IN THE MEANTIME, please consider it "Business as usual" and include Public Outreach when disbursing your excess funds, if your group chooses to do so.

Public Outreach is always in needs of funds for the work that is ongoing. These funds are mainly used for the purchase of literature (books and pamphlets) that are used to spread the word about Al-Anon and Alateen to those still suffering.

Announcement from your Public
Outreach Coordinator:

Hi Friends,

At your ISR meeting that took place in October each group was asked to make phone calls to their local police stations to increase awareness about Al-Anon/Alateen since November is ALCOHOL AWAREMESS MONTH. If you have made your calls, FANTASTIC, please let me know what kind of progress has been made and if you haven't made the call yet, then Yay!!, now's our chance to do some really easy service. Contact me with any questions you have and to let me know how you're doing. Email: ssh@videotron.ca

Thanks!
Darlene

Al-Anon DAy 2012:

A member is needed to take on the fabulous service opportunity of Al-Anon Day 2012 Chairperson. If someone doesn't step up by December 31, 2011 then we will have no event. What a shame it would be if we did'nt have that day to celebrate our amazing fellowship who has given us soo much. To see if you're qualifed to be a Chairperson, ask yourself the following questions...

Do you believe service is a valuable part of our fellowship?
Do you like having fun?

If you answered YES, then you can be the next Chairperson! Yay!! Contact the Provincial Assembly Chairperson at president@al-anon-alateen-qc.ca
